First translation of the site

Hi there!

I’ve been working a lot these past few days in having the first English version of the site. Luckily, I had already set up all the infrastructure «behind the scenes» as to make this an easy process, and I had already taken care of the more structural aspects of the translation, so from now on it’s pretty simple to just integrate new content in new languages. Of course you are reading the English version, which has its own homepage or you can click on the language menu that’s on the top bar, sidebar, footer, or on the link inside each post that has a translation, just before the comment area. The rest of the site will be ready in a few days, expect some more tweaks all around…

Today we’ll talk a litlle about why the traditional way of explaining tango technique is broken, and how we can fix it. In order to do that, we’ll review how technique is studied in a traditional context, what premises it’s based on, and what other alternatives there can be. Lastly, we’ll discuss a series of advantages that come with rethinking technique a bit. This does not mean that it’s impossible to dance properly following the classic ideas, it’s just much harder than it should.
